Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Privilege Management when handling namespace scopes for BMCEventSubscription. A user with namespace level roles can access and manipulate secrets from unauthorized namespaces by creating a BMCEventSubscription in a namespace they control, which then allows them to load secrets from other namespaces, with the privileges of the cluster controller.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be avoided by configuring the RBAC to be namespace scoped instead of cluster scoped, or by configuring Bare Metal Operator to access a single namespace using the WATCH_NAMESPACE option.
