CWE-295  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade github.com/neuvector/neuvector/controller/kv to version 5.4.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation due to the lack of enforced TLS verification in the login authentication. An attacker can intercept sensitive information or manipulate authentication data by performing a man-in-the-middle attack.

Note: This is only exploitable if TLS verification remains disabled in the configuration.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by enabling TLS verification in the application's configuration settings.
