CWE-599  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade github.com/OpenListTeam/OpenList/internal/bootstrap/patch/v4_1_9 to version 4.1.10 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Validation of OpenSSL Certificate due to the default configuration of DefaultConfig where TLS certificate verification is disabled for outgoing storage driver communications. An attacker can intercept, decrypt, and manipulate all data transmitted during storage operations by performing network-level attacks such as ARP spoofing, DNS hijacking, or deploying rogue Wi-Fi access points.

Note: This is only exploitable if the system is deployed with the default TLS configuration that skips certificate verification.
