Overview
github.com/openshift/must-gather-operator/api/v1alpha1 is a package that contains API Schema definitions for the managed v1alpha1 API group +kubebuilder:object:generate=true +groupName=managed.openshift.io.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Input Validation through the MustGather.managed.openshift.io Custom Defined Resource (CRD). An attacker can escalate their privileges to a cluster administrator and potentially pivot to the AWS environment by creating a MustGather object with a specially crafted file and setting the most privileged service account to run the job.
