CVE-2026-28512  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-601  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade github.com/pocket-id/pocket-id/backend/internal/utils to version 2.4.0 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Open Redirect via improper validation of the redirect_uri parameter. An attacker can intercept authorization codes by crafting a malicious authorization link that leverages userinfo/host confusion, causing the code to be sent to an attacker-controlled host.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by rejecting callback URLs containing userinfo (@) at the reverse proxy or application policy level if feasible.
