CWE-532  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade github.com/projectcalico/calico/cni-plugin/internal/pkg/azure to version 3.32.0 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File via the logging of the entire unmarshaled configuration map at INFO level to /var/log/calico/cni/cni.log during each CNI ADD and DEL invocation. An attacker can obtain sensitive credentials, such as ServiceAccount tokens, client keys, and certificate authorities, by accessing these logs if they have read permissions to the log file. This is only exploitable if the cluster is deployed using token-based Kubernetes authentication and the attacker has access to the node's log files.
