Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource via the writeMetadataToFile process. An attacker can gain elevated privileges by supplying crafted metadata values for mode, uid, and gid when copying files from an untrusted remote, resulting in the creation of setuid or setgid binaries with attacker-controlled content and ownership.
