github.com/tendermint/tendermint/rpc/client to version 0.31.1 or higher.
github.com/tendermint/tendermint/rpc/client is a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) middleware that takes a state transition machine - written in any programming language - and securely replicates it on many machines.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS).
By default, the http go client support Gzip-compressed Http response. The cli and light binary does not disable this support via the
DisableCompression property of the HTTPTransport object. As soon as it sents a Http Request to a user-controlled server, it become possible to cause a Denial of Service via a GZIP bomb.
