Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity in the ForwardAuth middleware when trustForwardHeader is set to false and the deployment is behind a trusted upstream proxy. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to protected backend routes by injecting a spoofed X-Forwarded-Prefix header, which is not stripped or rebuilt before being forwarded to the authentication service. This is only exploitable if the authentication service makes authorization or routing decisions based on the X-Forwarded-Prefix header and StripPrefix middleware is used before ForwardAuth.
