CVE-2026-35581  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

There is no fixed version for gov.nsa:emissary.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the Executrix utility when configuration-derived values, such as PLACE_NAME, are concatenated into shell commands without sufficient sanitization. An attacker can achieve arbitrary command execution by supplying specially crafted configuration values containing shell metacharacters.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by ensuring that all PLACE_NAME values in configuration files contain only alphanumeric characters, underscores, and hyphens.
