The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Test your applicationsUpgrade org.apache.camel:camel-mail to version 4.18.5, 4.22.1 or higher.
org.apache.camel:camel-mail is a Camel Mail support.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incomplete Filtering of Special Elements via MimeMultipartDataFormat in the camel-mail component. An external sender can supply a multipart message with mail.smtp.* or mail.smtps.* headers that are copied onto the Exchange during inline-header unmarshalling. If the route passes that Exchange to a downstream mail producer, the attacker can influence how it connects and sends mail.
Notes
MimeMultipartDataFormat with headersInline enabled; otherwise multipart headers are not copied onto the Exchange.Workarounds
MimeMultipartDataFormat unmarshalling, remove mail.smtp* headers with removeHeaders("mail.smtp*") before any mail producer to prevent attacker-supplied SMTP properties from influencing how it connects and sends mail.
