Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improperly Controlled Sequential Memory Allocation via reply handling in DefaultSftpClient in the sshd-sftp component. A malicious SFTP server can exhaust the client’s memory by sending unsolicited reply packets, which DefaultSftpClient stores without checking for a matching request to consume them.
