Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition via the worker-launcher process. An attacker can gain elevated privileges by exploiting a race condition between the classification of directory entries and the execution of privileged operations such as lchown or chmod on pathnames, allowing redirection of these operations to arbitrary files through symbolic links. This is only exploitable if untrusted topology code is executed on supervisors configured with supervisor.run.worker.as.user.
