Overview
org.apache.zookeeper:zookeeper is a centralized service for maintaining configuration information, naming, providing distributed synchronization, and providing group services.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch in the ZKTrustManager, when hostname verification falls back to reverse DNS (PTR) lookup after IP SAN validation fails. An attacker who can control PTR records, who is in possession of a certificate trusted by the ZKTrustManager can impersonate servers or clients.
