Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Session Fixation incomplete validation of the ThreadSafeCookieStore process. An attacker can inject unauthorized cookies across trust domains by exploiting improper domain attribute checks, potentially leading to session fixation or unauthorized access.
Users who are not able to upgrade to the fixed version are advised to use a separate AsyncHttpClient instance per trust domain, so no cookie store spans them; or disable the cookie store with setCookieStore(null); or supply a CookieStore that applies the checks above.
