Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') via the inheritanceStrategy deserialization path in AbstractAuthorizationPropertyConverter. An attacker can trigger instantiation of attacker-chosen classes by supplying crafted XML for an AuthorizationMatrixProperty during job or configuration deserialization. This can execute unexpected constructors and disrupt Jenkins by loading untrusted classes while restoring authorization settings.
