Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Inappropriate Encoding for Output Context through the handling of character_set_results and session tracking. An attacker can alter the encoding of result data without detection by manipulating session variables on the server side, causing applications to misinterpret string data and potentially bypass validation or escaping mechanisms. This is only exploitable if the attacker has control over the server side of the connection or can perform a man-in-the-middle attack.
