Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling through unbounded session retention in the handleInitRequest path of WebFluxStreamableServerTransportProvider and WebMvcStreamableServerTransportProvider. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exhaust server memory by repeatedly sending initialize requests that create new sessions without any built-in cap or idle reclamation. Because the transport keeps each created session in memory and accepts new sessions by default, the session list grows over time until resource exhaustion prevents legitimate clients from using the MCP server.
