CVE-2026-59355  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-601  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade org.springframework.security:spring-security-oauth2-authorization-server to version 1.5.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Open Redirect in OAuth2AuthorizationCodeRequestAuthenticationConverter, OAuth2AuthorizationCodeRequestAuthenticationProvider, and OAuth2AuthorizationCodeRequestAuthenticationValidator. An attacker can redirect a victim to an attacker-controlled site by sending an authorization request with an invalid request_uri paired with an unvalidated redirect_uri. When the authorization endpoint processes that request, it can accept the attacker-supplied redirect target instead of suppressing the redirect on the validation failure, sending the user-agent to the malicious destination.
