Overview

org.xwiki.platform:xwiki-platform-oldcore is a generic wiki platform offering runtime services for applications built on top of it.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Privilege Escalation when editing a right with the object editor, which leads to adding a supplementary empty value to groups which are then resolved as a reference to the XWiki.WebHome page. Exploiting this vulnerability allows adding an XWikiGroup xobject to that page and then transforming it into a group, allowing any user to obtain the privileges related to the edited right.
