@backstage/plugin-auth-backend-module-oidc-provider is a The oidc-provider backend module for the auth plugin.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature in the oidcAuthenticator within authenticator.ts, where the email claim from the OIDC userinfo endpoint is accepted into the user profile without verifying the email_verified flag. An attacker who controls an OIDC identity provider, or whose provider does not enforce email verification, can supply an unverified email address that gets trusted as a validated identity claim, potentially allowing account takeover or privilege escalation by impersonating another user's email address.
