@backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab is an A Backstage catalog backend module that helps integrate towards GitLab
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization via the GitlabOrgDiscoveryEntityProvider when handling user_create webhook events, where the restrictUsersToGroup configuration option is not respected. An authenticated attacker who creates a GitLab account can be ingested into the Backstage catalog as a valid user entity even when they are not a member of the configured restricted group, bypassing the intended membership scope enforcement.
