Overview

compressing is an Everything you need for compressing and uncompressing

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Symlink Attack via the isPathWithinParent function. An attacker can overwrite arbitrary files outside the intended extraction directory by supplying a malicious archive and leveraging pre-existing symbolic links delivered through a git clone operation. This allows the attacker to redirect file writes to sensitive locations on the filesystem without user interaction beyond standard repository cloning and application execution.

Note: This vulnerability arises due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-24884.
