electron is a framework which lets you write cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the net.fetch or net.request. An attacker can access local file contents by redirecting HTTP requests to local resources and causing the application to return or forward the response body.
Note: This is only exploitable if requests are made to attacker-controlled URLs with redirects followed and the response body is exposed.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by setting redirect: 'error' or redirect: 'manual' on requests to untrusted URLs and validating any redirect target before following it.
