The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Test your applicationsUpgrade electron to version 39.8.9, 40.9.2, 41.2.1, 42.0.0-beta.3 or higher.
electron is a framework which lets you write cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection in the DevTools embedder handler. An attacker can execute arbitrary files outside the sandbox by leveraging the "reveal in file manager" action to launch the target file, provided they have a means to run scripts inside the DevTools frontend, such as through a malicious DevTools extension.
Note: This is only exploitable if DevTools is opened for windows exposed to untrusted content or untrusted DevTools extensions.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by not opening DevTools for windows that load untrusted content and not loading untrusted DevTools extensions.
