The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

electron is a framework which lets you write cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insecure Default Initialization of Resource via the webpreferences attribute on a <webview> tag, which omitted nodeIntegrationInWorker from the list of security options a guest inherits from its embedder. An attacker who can influence the webpreferences attribute can set nodeIntegrationInWorker on a guest whose embedder has it disabled, granting the guest's dedicated workers a Node.js environment the embedder did not authorize and, with an unsandboxed embedder, dropping the guest out of the sandbox entirely. The same omission affects child windows opened via window.open, where the equivalent inheritance list in guest-window-manager.ts also lacked nodeIntegrationInWorker.
Note: This is only exploitable if the app enables the <webview> tag and the embedder is unsandboxed.
