CWE-436  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade @fastify/middie to version 9.3.2 or higher.

Overview

@fastify/middie is a Middleware engine for Fastify

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Interpretation Conflict in the propagation of middleware paths to child plugin scopes due to incorrect re-prefixing. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to protected routes by registering a child plugin with a prefix that overlaps with a parent-scoped middleware path, causing middleware-based security controls such as authentication, authorization, and rate limiting to be bypassed for all affected routes.
