Overview

ghost is a publishing platform

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload via insufficient image content type validation in the image upload, import, and remote image inlining pipelines. Prior to the fix, image files were accepted based on extension or declared content type alone, without verifying that the file's actual contents matched an allowed image format. An attacker who can induce a user to trigger an image upload or import can supply a file whose extension or MIME type claims it is an image while its contents are of a different, potentially dangerous type, leading to confidentiality and integrity compromise.
