Overview

kibana is an open source (Apache Licensed), browser-based analytics and search dashboard for Elasticsearch.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload via crafted HTML and JavaScript files. An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's browser by uploading a file with a dangerous type.

Note:

This is only exploitable if the attacker has access to the Synthetics app AND/OR has access to write to the synthetics indices.
