Overview
kibana is an open source (Apache Licensed), browser-based analytics and search dashboard for Elasticsearch.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the EQL sequence queries. An attacker can cause excessive memory consumption and crash the node by sending specially crafted queries against an index they control.
Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker is a low-privileged authenticated user with permission to execute EQL sequence queries against an index they control.
