Overview

kibana is an open source (Apache Licensed), browser-based analytics and search dashboard for Elasticsearch.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the search. An attacker can exhaust system memory and cause the node process to terminate by submitting a crafted input in a search request, leading to service disruption.

Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker is authenticated and holds read privileges.
