Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection. An attacker can execute arbitrary code outside the intended sandbox boundary by creating or modifying workflows after authenticating with sufficient permissions.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by limiting workflow creation and editing permissions to fully trusted users only, and by using external runner mode (N8N_RUNNERS_MODE=external) to reduce the impact.
