Snyk has a proof-of-concept or detailed explanation of how to exploit this vulnerability.
The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Test your applicationsUpgrade node-forge to version 1.4.1 or higher.
node-forge is a JavaScript implementations of network transports, cryptography, ciphers, PKI, message digests, and various utilities.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Integer Overflow or Wraparound in the asn1.oidToDer function in lib/asn1.js. An attacker can make the encoder emit DER for a different, trusted OID than the string the application validated, by supplying an OID whose first two arcs are out of range, because oidToDer computes 40 * arc1 + arc2 and writes the result with putByte(), which keeps only the low 16 bits, so 0.42.840.113549.1.1.1 encodes to the DER for 1.2.840.113549.1.1.1 (rsaEncryption). This affects only applications that accept untrusted OID strings, validate them as strings, and then encode them with node-forge into structures such as certificates or CSRs, while decoding DER is unaffected.
Note: This is a bypass of the fix for the vulnerability described in CVE-2025-66030.
