Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Origin Validation Error via the /cdp WebSocket endpoint that accepts arbitrary Chrome DevTools Protocol commands. An attacker can bypass the intended localhost-only restriction by running malicious JavaScript in the victim’s browser, which connects from the victim’s own network interface and is therefore treated as “local.” Once connected, the attacker can issue CDP commands to control the browser - including executing JavaScript in other tabs - enabling theft of session tokens and injection of malicious code into active sessions.
