openclaw is a 🦞 OpenClaw — Personal AI Assistant
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Resource Shutdown or Release through the killProcessTree function in shell-utils.ts, which sends an immediate SIGKILL to background processes without allowing for a graceful shutdown. An attacker can cause data corruption, resource leaks, or bypass security-sensitive cleanup by triggering process termination via chat commands.
