openclaw is a 🦞 OpenClaw — Personal AI Assistant
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Default Permissions via the config recovery process. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive configuration data by reading the openclaw.json file with overly broad file permissions after recovery. This is only exploitable if the affected feature is enabled and reachable, and local OS permissions allow access to the restored file by other same-host users.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by checking openclaw.json permissions after recovery on shared hosts until patched.
