Overview

openclaw is a 🦞 OpenClaw — Personal AI Assistant

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to User Impersonation via the allowFrom process. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to agent privileges intended for another Discord identity by exploiting mutable display name metadata to match policy entries. This is only exploitable if the affected feature is enabled and reachable, and the operator's configuration allows lower-trust input to reach the relevant path.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by using stable Discord user IDs in allowlists until patched. Additionally, keep channel and tool allowlists narrow, avoid sharing one Gateway between mutually untrusted users, and disable the affected feature when not needed.
