CWE-89  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade parse-server to version 8.6.59, 9.6.0-alpha.53 or higher.

Overview

parse-server is a version of the Parse backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to SQL Injection via the field name parameters of the aggregate $group pipeline stage or the distinct operation in the PostgreSQL adapter. An attacker with master key access can execute arbitrary SQL statements on the database by injecting SQL metacharacters into these parameters, potentially escalating privileges from application-level administrator to database-level access.
