Overview
renovate is a dependency updater.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficient Control Flow Management via the branch processing logic in lib/workers/repository/update/branch/index.ts, when a rebase is requested on an open pull request that has pending updates, the processBranch function recreates the branch with the latest dependency version without verifying that internal checks such as minimumReleaseAge have been satisfied. An attacker or automated workflow can trigger a PR rebase checkbox to cause a dependency version that has not yet passed its configured observation period to be introduced into the branch, bypassing the intended internalChecksFilter gate.
