Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Protection Mechanism Failure in the node:sqlite module exposure within the sandbox environment when certain builtins are permitted. An attacker can execute arbitrary native code with host process privileges by loading a malicious extension through DatabaseSync.loadExtension() after creating an in-memory DatabaseSync instance with extension loading enabled.
