Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere in the globalAgent process. An attacker can access sensitive HTTPS credentials and intercept or manipulate authenticated requests by registering a listener on the agent's 'free' event, allowing them to read the host's Authorization header, destination host/port, and plaintext response bodies, as well as issue attacker-controlled requests using stolen credentials. This is only exploitable if the NodeVM is explicitly configured to allow require('https').
