Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure via the error stack formatting process. An attacker can obtain absolute host filesystem paths, including those from Node.js internals and the embedding application's source tree, by triggering a SyntaxError in sandboxed code and accessing the .stack property, which is forwarded to the host-realm formatter without proper redaction.
