Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Protection Mechanism Failure in the requireImpl process. An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript code outside the intended sandbox by supplying specially crafted arguments to the node:test.run() function, which are forwarded to the host Node.js process and allow execution in an unrestricted environment.
