Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Control of Dynamically-Managed Code Resources via the NodeVM process. An attacker can execute arbitrary code in the host environment by accessing the host __proto__ getter/setter through console._stdout and console._stderr, overwriting EventEmitter.prototype.emit, and triggering process events to bypass code generation restrictions.
