Overview
vm2 is a sandbox that can run untrusted code with whitelisted Node's built-in modules.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Incorrectly-Resolved Name or Reference via the allowlist process. An attacker can execute unauthorized code in the host context by requiring a package whose name contains a substring of an allowlisted package, thereby bypassing intended restrictions.
