CVE-2026-54614  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-470  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade cakephp/debug_kit to version 4.10.3, 5.2.4 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') via the MailPreview process. An attacker can execute arbitrary constructors by exploiting unsafe reflection when debug mode is enabled and the hostname matches a local domain or is in an allowlist. This is only exploitable if both debug mode is enabled and the hostname is considered local or is allowlisted.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by ensuring the component is only included in development dependencies and that debug mode is disabled in production environments.
