CWE-287  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade codeigniter4/framework to version 4.2.11 or higher.

Overview

codeigniter4/framework is a PHP full-stack web framework that is light, fast, flexible, and secure.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authentication when an application uses multiple session cookies (e.g., one for user pages and one for admin pages) and a session handler is set to DatabaseHandler, MemcachedHandler, or RedisHandler. If an attacker gets one session cookie (e.g., one for user pages), they may be able to access pages that require another session cookie (e.g., for admin pages).
