Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Replay Attack in the handling of one-time codes for app-based multi-factor authentication. An attacker can gain unauthorized access by reusing a previously issued code within the valid time window, even after a newer code has been accepted. This is only exploitable if the attacker has access to both the user's password and a valid one-time code within the code's time window.
