CVE-2026-30849  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-305  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade mantisbt/mantisbt to version 2.28.1 or higher.

Overview

mantisbt/mantisbt is a mantis bug tracker.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass by Primary Weakness in the SOAP API due to improper type checking on the password parameter. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to user accounts by sending a crafted SOAP envelope with a known username, allowing execution of any API function permitted to that user. This is only exploitable if the application is running on MySQL or compatible databases that perform implicit type conversion from string to integer.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling the SOAP API.
