CWE-918  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade mautic/core to version 5.2.11, 6.0.9, 7.1.2 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF) via insufficient validation of user-supplied URLs in the Focus component. An attacker can cause the server to send HTTP requests to internal or external destinations by supplying crafted URLs. This can enable internal network reconnaissance or access to otherwise restricted resources.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling or limiting external network access from the web server to internal-only subnets and local hosts.
